Amor Ali (Hero Alom): The Open Face of RSO Propaganda and Abusive Content Against Oppositions

Key Details
Amor Ali, also known as Hero Alom, Nur Kamal, Hero Bhai or Folaya, has been actively creating abusive and propaganda contents against notable and respected social activists and organizations for over the last three years in the Rohingya community.
Rohingya Monitor has deeply observed and investigated his social cyberbullying, harassment and intentional propaganda contents in favour of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO). We have found that it is a clear example of how dangerous such activities can be for increasing flames inside the community. He posts daily on his social media. Over 90% of his contents are either propaganda or serious abusive materials, while the remaining 10% include vlogging, comedy and other types of videos.
Introduction to Amor Ali in the Rohingya Community
Amor Ali, real name Nur Kamal, 22 years old, son of Nurul Amin is a Rohingya youth living in Camp-9, Block-G3 under the Headmaji, Nurul Amin. His village in Myanmar is Deboinna in Taung Pyo Let Yar in northern Arakan State. He is a member of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) and has been active in generating fake and propaganda contents on social media for the last three years.
Amor Ali was among those who participated as war labourers with the Myanmar military in Maungdaw when the military was facing defeats from the militant Arakan Army (AA) in 2024.
He shared a photo as a story on his Facebook profile in 2024 wearing RSO uniform and holding a gun, showing himself taking position on a boat along the Naf River on the Myanmar side, where RSO members were active on the islands bordering Bangladesh.
When the Myanmar military was completely defeated in Maungdaw, some RSO members along with forcibly conscripted local Rohingya people were killed, and most were captured by the militant Arakan Army. During that time, some RSO members escaped and returned to the islands while others fled directly to the Bangladesh refugee camps.
Rohingya community people witnessed that RSO members had earlier abducted Rohingya from the refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, used guns openly, fired shots and even killed people, then sent the abducted persons to the Myanmar military to fight against the militant Arakan Army.
After the Myanmar military’s defeat, RSO has been actively taking positions on the islands of Myanmar across the Naf River. It is alleged that RSO is now closely connected with the militant Arakan Army and involved in cross-border drug trafficking and other illegal businesses.
Before this period of cooperation with the Myanmar military, RSO had claimed close working relations and mutual support with the militant Arakan Army. This was stated in an interview on 31 March 2024 on Jumana TV with Mohsin-ul-Hakim in a forest area of Arakan State claimed to be Fokira Bazar.
The Dangers of Amor Ali’s Abusive and Propaganda Contents
Amor Ali has a presence on social media through several accounts and pages with audiences mainly from RSO members and supporters, along with some from opposite groups.
Rohingya Monitor has paid special attention to his recent contents from 6 September 2026 to 11 October 2026. Although all his accounts and channels are full of intentional propaganda and abusive materials in favor of RSO, social media platforms have taken no action because the language used is Rohingya and is not understood by the platforms’ systems.
Case 1
Video: 11 October 2026
In this video on his R-Poetry Media page, Amor Ali spoke about ARSA’s 9 October celebration. He used highly abusive language against ARSA members, calling them worse than dogs and using many other insults in the Rohingya language. He also strongly abused ARSA’s top leaders Ustad Khalid Jununi (Chief of General Staff) and Sheikh Burhan (Spokesperson). At the end of the video he threatened that they would find and catch every ARSA member from everywhere and finish them all.
Case 2
Video: 8 October 2026
Amor Ali posted a video targeting social media activist Osama Ibrahim. Osama Ibrahim had earlier spoken against the use of children on social media for spreading propaganda, abusive and violent contents, saying it harms the reputation of the Rohingya community. Amor Ali accused him of being an ARSA supporter and threatened to make more and stronger videos against ARSA with full force.
Case 3
Video: 7 October 2026
Amor Ali displayed and played a video made by Feroz Khan from Camp-9, who has been involved in several crimes and was seen with a gun inside the camp. In the video Feroz Khan accuses ARSA and issues threats. Amor Ali is seen clapping while Feroz Khan speaks.
Case 4
Video: 5 October 2026
Amor Ali used serious abusive language against social media activist Mawlana Osama Ibrahim in Rohingya, including phrases that are extremely vulgar and unexplainable in English.
Case 5
Video: 2 October 2026
Amor Ali abused popular content creator Sadek Khan, a Rohingya living in the United States, using words such as “gorusuda”, dogs, mad dogs, animal and many other insults in Rohingya language.
Case 6
Video: 6 September 2026
Amor Ali defended the well-known drug dealer Mv Mohammed Noor (often called Mannor) through a news-style video. Mv Mohammed Noor lives in Camp-11 with tight security provided by RSO forces carrying weapons and has built several luxurious houses. When social media started discussing his drug trafficking activities, Amor Ali immediately began defending him.
Mv Mohammed Noor is widely alleged to be a major figure in drug trafficking and a key financial source of the RSO.
Key Analysis and Findings
Rohingya Monitor has been actively monitoring camp situations with deep focus on crimes and perpetrators. Regarding Amor Ali, we have closely observed his activities for over a month.
- First, Amor Ali has been active in intentional propaganda, violent and abusive contents for more than three years.
- Second, he has been carrying out serious threats and abuses against ARSA, the most powerful armed group in the Rohingya community with a large number of fighters and supporters.
- Third, he has been attacking and abusing several key and popular activists and leaders, including Dr. Kutub Shah Madani (who lives in Malaysia and holds a PhD from International Islamic University Malaysia) and Mv Osama Ibrahim (a social media activist studying in Saudi Arabia), among others.
- None of his contents received meaningful support or glorification from the wider community, either online or offline, according to the interaction analysis.
We are surprised that despite his long-term and continuous threats, propaganda and abuses against ARSA, he has not faced any retaliation from ARSA and continues to live openly in the refugee camps as ARSA was previously accused of retaliating against oppositions.
In a separate monitoring, we have also observed cases where some people, both educated and uneducated, claim to have been threatened by ARSA and other armed groups while searching for resettlement opportunities to third countries. Since ARSA did not take action against this open RSO member who lives freely in the camps, NGOs and officials should carefully investigate every crime report and resettlement claim related to threats, as false claims can harm the reputation of the country and the security forces deployed in the camps.
Recommendations
The contents created by Amor Ali on his social platforms are dangerous and violent. Social media platforms cannot detect them properly because of the language barrier. However, the security personnel deployed in the refugee camps and other relevant authorities should take immediate action against this RSO member.
His contents repeatedly call for violence and contain direct threats against oppositions, community leaders and activists. We warn that such continuous behaviour may lead to serious retaliation from those he regularly abuses and targets with propaganda.
