The looting has once again drawn attention to the security risks faced by refugees in camps such as Camp 14, especially at night. We urge the official authorities to investigate the case and take appropriate action to prevent further crimes across the camps.

Government authorities and local Rohingya refugees should jointly strengthen security monitoring across the camps to prevent such repeated crimes.

Rohingya Monitor has been actively monitoring camp incidents and other security concerns across each and every camp. Regrettably, such incidents are occurring across the major camps in the Cox’s Bazar Rohingya refugee settlement.
